COVID 19 Updates

COVID-19 Updates at the Willoughby Arts Centre

UPDATE – July 15th

Following NSW health directive on 14 July, the Willoughby Arts Centre will be cancelling Term 3.

The Willoughby Art Centre has decided to cancel Term 3 classes [9-week term] and refund enrolled students and hirers. This decision has been made in the best interest of everyone’s health and safety and to help build confidence going forward.

The refunds will begin early next week, so please continue to monitor your inbox and junk mail. Priority enrolments for Term 3 will remain in place and students will be given advance notice to re-enrol for Term 4.

Our planned programmes including exhibitions will be postponed but you will receive more information in due course. Please understand there is no urgency to pick up works in ceramics or sculpture and the Centre will remain closed for such purposes.

If it is safe to do so, a shorter program and holiday like workshops may be an option in August/September. Please monitor the website and for our Members the e-Bulletin will be out in early August.

All students are encouraged to monitor the NSW Government’s latest COVID-19 news and updates for locations where there may have been exposure to COVID-19 and adhere to the advice as appropriate. NSW Health regularly updates its advice.

For the safety of our staff, we only have one staff member in the office for a minimum number of hours in the week. We will provide additional updates as the current situation evolves.

Thank you for your support and we hope to see you back at the Centre very soon. Stay home and stay safe.
