COVID 19 Updates

COVID-19 Updates at the Willoughby Arts Centre

UPDATE – October 11th

We are delighted to announce that classes will recommence on Monday 25th October for Term 4 with a shortened 8 week programme.

Please be advised that in line with the NSW Health Orders, we will only be enrolling students and hirers who are fully vaccinated.

This is a necessary requirement to meet our obligations for the safety of our staff, tutors and other students. Please be assured that our term tutors and staff are all double vaccinated.

Our Covid-19 Vaccination rules as per NSW guidelines are as below:

  • Proof of vaccination will be required for entry in the form of a digital certificate (either on your phone in the Medicare app OR a printed version).
  • Masks to be worn everywhere in the WAC
  • Students 16years + will have to be fully vaccinated to attend a class

We hope you understand that these rules are put in place to protect all students, tutors and staff.

We’re very much looking forward to welcoming back our classes from Monday the 25th!
For now, the Centre remains closed and staff continue to work from home. Priority bookings for Term 4 will be released on a staged basis in consultation with tutors from Wednesday 6 October. In the first instance priority enrolments with be offered to students who were enrolled in Term 3. Thereafter the waitlist will be activated. Once waitlist places have been offered, courses will become available to new students.

Please note all tutors have committed to a shortened term of 8 weeks with the exception of Merridee Cram, Gria Shead and Patrick Sui who will be returning in 2022.

All enrolments will be online, please use a desktop rather than a smartphone for greater reliability with our interface.
