For 5-10 year olds
Within this program, students will develop their foundational art skills through practice with various media and artistic processes.
The students will be encouraged to develop their creative side and to explore new forms of art, which will be influenced by a range of contemporary and traditional artists and their work. The cognitive/physical actions of the artistic process will be a central focus within this program, so that students may also explore their creativity externally.
Classes are collaborative, lively, and fun! All projects produced throughout this term will be stored in a portfolio, so that students may track their progress. Materials are provided; however, students should bring a snack to enjoy during break and wear covered shoes.
Just a reminder that the Workshop Arts Centre is a nut free environment. We kindly ask that you do not include any nuts or nut products in packed lunches and snacks.
Term 4, 2024
In the upcoming term, we be exploring the works of artist Yayoi Kusama. We will continue to discover colour through painting. Additionally, we will be creating three-dimensional art pieces, including a cityscape.
Furthermore, we will commence preparations for Christmas, including crafting vibrant flower wreaths and possibly making one or two small gifts using air dry clay.
