In 1961 Joy Ewart set up the only open access studio for printmakers in Sydney. Today we teach both traditional and experimental printmaking through a variety of classes. Professional printing presses are available to students.
Introduction to Copper Plate Etching with Angus Fisher / 2 Day Workshop
Come and explore the wonderful world of copper plate etching and gain a thorough understanding of this exciting, safe and accessible medium over two days. During the workshop we will explore various techniques and processes and work with both linear and tonal effects on our plates (including aquatint). Students will develop a series of prints in their own style drawn from their own imagery.

Multi Block Woodcuts with Roslyn Kean / 2 Day Workshop
This workshop will incorporate the carving & registration techniques used in traditional Japanese methods of exacting registration. Inking will be done in a western style with a selection of rollers and relief inks, printing will be done by hand with barens or on the studio presses.
