In 1961 Joy Ewart set up the only open access studio for printmakers in Sydney. Today we teach both traditional and experimental printmaking through a variety of classes. Professional printing presses are available to students.

Introduction to Multi Block Coloured Woodcuts with Roslyn Kean - Holiday Workshop

This course will cover the ancient registration methods of traditional Japanese woodcuts allowing numerous blocks of varying colours to be incorporated into a single image. Explore various image transfer methods onto the blocks and carving styles from loose expressive to fine line detail. Printing will be done both by hand using various barens and on the studio presses. Maximum paper size will be A4 to allow for more complex blocks to be carved and printed within the time frame....
