Come and learn how to draw and paint birds in mixed media with Jody Graham.

Spend a full day immersed in the bird world and learn techniques to help you capture their awe-inspiring avian beauty and expressive qualities.

Learn fun, easy to follow drawing approaches that are designed to strengthen your observation skills and individual expression.

Demonstrations throughout the class will guide students through a combination of mixed media techniques, planned to promote the creation of unique artworks about the birds we admire and love.

Materials

**I supply some reference material, please bring your own as well**

• Ink pen or Artline black marker
• A3 cartridge paper for drawing exercises (approx. 8 sheets)
• 4B pencil and something to sharpen it with
• Hard eraser
• Willow and Compressed charcoal
• 1 x ink colour (colour your choice - tip keep it bright, not dark browns or blacks, suggest 50ml Art Spectrum or similar
• Acrylic paint - Matisse structure formula acrylic paint intro set or similar (mini-intro set of 5 x 12ml) Mixed media paper pad – A3 smooth 300gsm or similar.
• Brushes - A few small and large brushes

Masking tape

Paper towel

Bull dog clips to attach paper to art board (easels supplied)
