Painting & Drawing in Mixed Media - Judith White

This course has a structured program of exercises and demonstrations to provide a solid grounding in technical skills, help build confidence and expand creative energy. There will be time during the term to work on personal projects, as well as outdoor work excursions. 

Materials List | Term 1 2025

The first subject for the term will be landscape.

Bring a photo of a landscape that features trees. Doesn’t have to be a long distance photo, but one that features a good selection of tree-trunks and foliage; maybe a path through the bush?

Don’t use a phone photo, as the image is too small. If your ipad has a big screen this is ok, but the most flexible option is to get a print from Office works.

Have 2 sheets of watercolour paper (240- 350 grms) for the exercise in general.

You can move onto canvas as the exercise progresses in the coming weeks.

Material list:

• Bring your usual brushes including an old brush for glue.
• Flat palette (medium to large white disposable palette is excellent)
• PVA Glue
• Scissors
• Blade cutting knife
• Collage paper; tissue paper and brown wrapping paper; both available from officeworks or a
  newsagent.
• All your drawing materials ie pencils,4B, 6B, charcoal pencils,
• Cartridge paper; an A2 pad will be used for most of the term.
