Sessions are structured around individual assistance to develop and encourage personal development. Class directed critiques and discussions of contemporary art practice will be featured. This course is for students with prior experience in painting & drawing.

We’ll start the term with a ‘’rotating painting exercise”….with a twist. Bring a full sheet of good watercolour paper, 320 grm minimum weight.
Bring all your painting materials as usual , any work you’ve been doing over the holidays, any ideas of how you might want to work for the term.
The class exercise is a good catalyst for painting ideas if your ‘art brain’ has gone numb over the holidays. You can also use it to move in a different direction.
If you’d like a new pigment to push along your palette bring Dioxazine Purple.
