Open to all levels
In this 6 week still life painting class students will learn the fundamentals of tonal painting by observing light, tone and proportion. Students will also learn how to bring a sense of reality and atmosphere to your work. You will be taken through a series of exercises and demonstrations to build on skills each week. This course is recommended for those new to oils, or those wishing to refresh or build on their skills.
MATERIALS:
Flat Palette (Melamine or palette paper preferred)
Palette Knife
3 x canvas boards or canvases of 10x14 or 10x12 inches
Odourless solvent (Must be odourless!)
2 x Jars (for solvent)
Rags or paper towels
BRUSHES
Your own brushes
(Neef Long Flat preferred I use size 4 and 6)
OIL PAINT
Raw Umber
Titanium White
Ivory Black
Vermillion (hue will do)
Alizarin Crimson
Lemon Yellow
Cadmium Yellow
Ultramarine Blue
Cerulean (Hue will do)
Yellow Ochre
Burnt Sienna
